The so-called magnetic hill (Magnetischer Hügel (auf dem Weg nach Alchi aus Richtung Changspa anreisend) 34°10'16.0"N 77°21'13.8"E, about 60 kilometers away, is an optical illusion: while the surrounding mountains and slopes suggest that the road leads uphill to an elevation, one is actually on a downhill road.
