Ciwas Tahos (she/they) is a Taiwanese visual artist of Atayal and Hō-ló descent. From May 2026 to May 2027, she is based in Berlin as a DAAD Visual Arts Fellow with a studio at Künstlerhaus Bethanien. Through a body-centred practice grounded in an Atayal worldview, her work weaves performance, moving image, cyberspace, ceramic sound sculptures, and kinetic installation to disrupt, queer, question, retell, and reimagine desired futures.
Recent exhibitions include Manif d’Art – La Biennale de Québec (2026); Sharjah Biennial 16: TO CARRY (2025); Hawai‘i Triennial: ALOHA NŌ (2025); and the Taiwan Austronesian Art Triennial (2024). In 2023, she received the Biannual Prize of the Pulima Art Award, participated in documenta 15 and the Arts Electronica Festival, and was the inaugural artist for the Australia–Taiwan Arts Exchange Partnership. She holds an MFA in New Media Art from Taipei National University of the Arts and a BFA in Visual Art from Simon Fraser University.
