Galerie du Monde is delighted to share our German artist Roland Biermann has been selected to present two of his works for the Annual Members' Juried Exhibition: Happy Place, at Cape Cod Museum of Art. The architectual model of the two new works, Ophelia Screen 1 and Ophelia Screen 2 will be exhibited. In the form of photographs, printed on transparent screens, the works show parts of a pink air mattress drifting on green water, overgrown with algae. On the surface, the work relates to beauty, transience and death. On a different level, it addresses contemporary ecological issues and especially, our dependency on plastic products and the disastrous effects on water and marine life.
