In collaboration with local artist Phoebe Hui, “Runner’s High” at Art Basel Hong Kong reimagined the peak of athletic endurance as a multi-sensory experience.
Phoebe Hui’s interactive installation “Ginseng Dreams” translates the mental state of endurance sport into a perceptible, spatial experience through ginseng — an emblem of rest, respite, and regenerative power. With subtle movement that echoes the rhythm of breathing, the ginseng sculpture appears to be asleep, evoking a perceptual space suspended between reality and dream.
