Adia Millett announced as a finalist for SFMOMA's SECA Art Award!
gdm is delighted to share Adia Millett's selection as a finalist for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art's (SFMOMA) biannual SECA Art Award. The award spotlights exceptional Bay Area artists whose work at the time of nomination has not received substantial recognition from a major institution. The award is the culmination of a process consisting of nominations, portfolio reviews, studio visits and discussions with SFMOMA’s curators and SECA members.
Since 1967, the Society for the Encouragement of Contemporary Art (SECA) Art Award has honored more than 90 Bay Area artists with an exhibition at SFMOMA and an accompanying publication. SECA celebrates the local art scene, building community among creatives and the art-curious through educational and social programs.
