Adia Millett has been commissioned to create a public mural at the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland, California. Millett will be painting for the façade of the hospital’s new Administrative Support building. Millett’s recent works are with color, brightness and joy coming from multitude of cultures in Oakland and how people celebrate their ancestors and history. She hopes her works to inspire everyone to be able to see hope and possibility. In early 2024, Millett revamped the basketball courts of West Oakland’s Lowell Park with public art “Taking Flight”.
