Curator Walk-Through: Fight and Flight

Artist Adia Millett with Fight and Flight Co-curator Ariel Zaccheo and another exhibiting artist Nasim Moghadam will give attendees an in-depth tour of the current showcase "Fight and Flight: Crafting a Bay Area Life." They will discuss the themes and pieces and reflections on what it means to thrive as an artist based in the Bay Area. From the challenges of sustaining a creative career to finding inspiration from this vibrant region, attendees will gain insight into these professionals' experiences.
About the exhibition --
Curated by Jacqueline Francis, and Ariel Zaccheo. Fight and Flight: Crafting a Bay Area Life is a timely examination of the Bay Area arts ecosystem. The exhibition features 23 local artists who, have been “creatively nurtured” in the Bay Area, and through hard times, continue to call the Bay Area a creative home. In various form of works, they reveal a narrative of the struggle of living and working in an untenable city–from the joy of finding chosen communities and families, to the loss of affordable housing and studio space.
