Life Experience: The Establishment of Personal Creative Language

Organized by KUART, artist Stella Zhang is invited to host a virtual artist talk on 4 December 2022 at 8pm (GMT+8), titled "Life Experience: The Establishment of Personal Creative Language". Born and raised in Beijing, Stella received her BFA in Chinese Brush Painting from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1989 and earned her MFA in 1996 at Tama Fine Art University and Tokyo Art University. She has relocated to the United States in 2003 and has been working and living there since. In this talk, Stella will share her personal experience of living in those culturally distinctively different countries and discuss how the implication of identity, gender, ethnicity and ideology shaped her artistic creations .
