Juan Uslé’s solo exhibition Línea Dolca 2008 – 2018, Irrefrenable is on view at 1 Mira Madrid from 17 April to 12 June 2021. Curated by Mira Bernabeu, it presents an extensive selection of small-scale photos, alongside paintings of similar format, spanning ten years of the artist’s career.
The photos are Uslé’s rich personal archive, which finds coherence through intimate, close-cropped views, angles and framings, which capture subtle details in varying degrees of abstraction, taken from the artist’s encounters and environments, both natural and architectural, private and public.
