Sichuan Fine Arts Institute celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2020 with an exhibition of artworks by distinguished graduates, to which shows the Institute's historical teachings and methods. In particular, “The Village Store” (1981) by Zhu Yiyong was featured. Soft brushstrokes and stylization of the painting not only demonstrates Zhu’s comprehensive training, but also presents a living contrast between Sichuan and rural places in China in the 80's.
