On 31 March 2021 at 2pm EST, Adia Millett had an extensive conversation with artists Maren Hassinger and Shinique Smith to discuss ties between mixed-media materiality and identity.
Hosted online by the American Federation of Arts and the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, the trio explored relationships between the natural and industrial worlds and between private narratives and collective histories - discussing how they have used art to reflect on personal identity and shared experience.
