Galerie du Monde is delighted to share artist Adia Millett is invited to join the panel conversation led by Kalamazoo-based artist and activist Maya James together with artist Nanette Carter and Mary Anne Rose. The discussion surrounds the ways in which abstraction can be used to break down barriers of race and gender. The speakers will share their personal stories and examples from their careers, and demonstrate how abstract art can be a powerful form of activism. They will also delve into issues of identity, mutual understanding, and the ability of art and artists to affect change in the world.
