Mindscapes: Art, Mental Health, and Forms of Healing

Co-organized by Art Basel and Wellcome Trust, this conversation explores how art can create the conditions for healing and understanding when it comes to mental health. This talk is moderated by Melissa Karmen Lee, the Chief Executive Officer of Chinese Canadian Museum. Cynthia Tongson, the sister of 20th century Hong Kong painter Wesley Tongson, who transmuted his mental health struggles into transcendental bodies of work, will be joined by artists from the Wellcome Trust's international cultural programme, Mindscapes, which partners with institutions around the world to create space for generative reflections on mental health.
