By disrupting the apartment he grew up in with portraits, family photography and cutouts from fashion magazines, Guanyu Xu’s Temporarily Censored Home series captures the disruption of the norms of sexuality, cultural hegemony, and nationalism, but also create constellations of differences, comparisons, and contradictions.
