gdm Taipei and its inaugural exhibition, Wu Chi-Tsung's Trail to the Moon, is featured on Art Emperor.
Assuming that you frequently explore the top art fairs in Asia, such as WESTBUND SHANGHAI, FRIEZE SEOUL, TAIPEI DANGDAI, ART BASEL HONG KONG, etc., and have a certain degree of understanding of the participating galleries and the structure of the fairs, I believe that every time you enter a fair, you will be attracted to gdm (Galerie du Monde), especially its selection full experimental Eastern aesthetics and quiet yet dynamic compositions. This forward-looking gallery was established by founder Fred Scholle in 1974 in Hong Kong, and has now reached its 50th anniversary, making it one of the oldest galleries in Hong Kong. The gallery is now operated by Kelvin Yang, the founder, and his team. At the end of 2024, gdm opened a new space in Taipei's Neihu District, undoubtedly injecting new vitality and futurity into the ecosystem of Taiwan's art industry as it faces a generational change.
