"A Tribute to Liu Kuo-Sung"

The Ink Society presented "A Tribute to Liu Kuo-Sung" at Ink Asia, Hong Kong 2017. The exhibition showcased 12 works of Liu Kuo-Sung from the 1960s to the 2000s. Widely recognized as the father of contemporary ink art, Liu played a seminal role as an educator in mentoring a new generation of ink painters, the show also included works by two of his students, Kwok Hon-Sum and Lee Chun-Yi.
A panel discussion was held on the development of Chinese contemporary ink art and Liu Kuo-Sung's unique artistic career by the Ink Society with the artist Liu Kuo-Sung, art scholar and critic Pi Daojian and M+ curator Lesley Ma as speakers.
