On 29 February 2024, Tai Kwun Contemporary will present an evening of music and animated wonder — "Delusion Beats" is inspired by Kongkee's comic Dragon’s Delusion, where Qu Yuan transforms into an electronic guitarist. In a world filled with endless desires, he uses music to enlightenghten souls who have been eroded by these desires. Kongkee also envisions Qu Yuan's soul reincarnating 2,000 years later, awakening in a cyberpunk rock world.
Veegay, the music director of Dragon’s Delusion — Preface, along with pianist and violinist K Tsang, vocalist Wynne Lo, and DJ Shelf-Index, will be performing live music together.
“Kongkee: Warring States Cyberpunk” is on view at Tai Kwun in Hong Kong till 3 March 2024.
