Artist Cathy Lu will join a panel discussion co-organized by the Otis College and Asian Cultural Council on 28 September 2023.
The discussion will delve into the intersection of subjectivity, race, and identity within creative and critical practices. This is a rare chance to hear firsthand from renowned artists and thinkers in the fields.
Soo Kim (Otis College BFA/MFA Lecturer; Los Angeles MTA commission for Wilshire/La Cienega Station Artwork, 2018) will lead the discussion along with artists Cathy Lu (ACC/BCAF Contemporary Arts Fellowship Program, 2019), LA artist Shirley Tse (Guggenheim Fellow, 2009), and LA artist York Chang (Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI) CALI Catalyst Grantee; City of Los Angeles (COLA) Master Artist Fellowship, 2022).
