The exhibition "New Horizons: Ways of Seeing Hong Kong Art in the 80s and 90s" at the Hong Kong Museum of Art in May will shine a light on the creative breakthroughs and transitions in Hong Kong contemporary art during that era.

One of the participating artists Kurt Chan, renowned as a signature professor from the Department of Fine Arts at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Chan successfully incorporated both styles into his unique concept of "Chan’s Domestic Aesthetics" with Hong Kong characteristics. The exhibition will present Chan's calligraphy works from the 1980s, allowing viewers a glimpse into his artistic evolution through his signature "intersection of axes" approach.

Chan expressed his excitement to share memories from that period with everyone through the exhibition, discussing experimental media and installation art, hoping it would help local artist deepen their understanding of the stylistic shifts in Hong Kong art during the 1980s-90s.
