Galerie du Monde is delighted to share artist Tsang Kin-Wah is featured in the Sigg Collection Exhibition at SONGEUN Art Space, Seoul. "SIGG: Chinese Contemporary Art from the Sigg Collection" is the first-ever introduction of Uli Sigg’s personal collection to the Korean audience and encompasses internationally recognized artists, along with recent works of the next generation of emerging Chinese artists to offer a glimpse into the present and future of Chinese art.
Tsang Kin-Wah's immersive video and sound installation, "The Second Seal –Every Being That Opposes Progress Shall Be Food For You" (2009) has been acquired by the Sigg Collection. “The title comes from the Bible, but I made certain changes to create a contemplation on the concept of a struggle between powers and classes. In the process of my research on this theme, I encountered a number of articles and materials that inspired me and from which I chose some sentences, phrases, and keywords. After this stage of collection, I edited and arranged the textual materials in a poetic manner, or, say, using a methodology of making a poem”, says Tsang.
