Galerie du Monde is delighted to share that Juan Ford’s painting Banner (2019) is featured in group exhibition “Call and Response” at the Art Gallery of Ballarat. This exhibition pairs modernist and contemporary artworks to create conversations across time. Ford’s work is selected to converse with Australian impressionist artist Arthur Streeton’s The Vanishing Forest (1934).
The Art Gallery of Ballarat is the oldest and largest regional art gallery in Australia, established in 1884. Both the building and part of its collection is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register and by the National Trust of Victoria. Their major collections covering the history of Australian art from the early colonial period to the present day.
