Overview

Wu Chuan Lun engages with the conceptual intersections of materiality, ecology, and systems of knowledge. He employs a diverse range of media and techniques—including computer-generated imagery, photography, drawing, 3D printing, found objects, and porcelain—to create research-based installations that examine the tensions and contradictions between nature and civilization, ecology and politics, and the material and the digital.

The act of collecting and gathering is central to his methodology. He explores the shifting identities, functions, and narratives embedded in everyday objects, unraveling their entangled historical, social, and ecological contexts. His works invite viewers to reconsider the systems of perception that shape both human and non-human worlds. Through a thoughtful interplay of materials, methods, and conceptual inquiry, Wu constructs spaces for critical reflection on the complexities and paradoxes that define contemporary life.

Wu received a BFA in Fine Art from the Tung Hai University in 2007 and an MFA in Plastic Arts from the Tainan National University of the Arts in 2015.
